Back in Oxford, I’ve been working on some designs for the Isis magazine. These have primarily been advertising events at the moment. Now co-creative director, it has been really interesting to not only work on my own designs, but to help other people with theirs. The creative team has become far more collaborative this term, with weekly meeting to discuss ideas for article and publicity imagery.
The flier below I designed with my co-creative director.
We came up with the idea of a ‘shape-shifter’ theme, whereby different types of events would be represented by a different shape (club nights would be a triangle, panel discussions and documentaries would be square etc). These shapes would be represented on the reverse of the flier. There a few examples of this below. The white images with the cutout are the reverse of the fliers that come before them. The front of the fliers were designed by the creatives, and I designed the rears.
